Aston Martin’s first Lagonda branded car could be based on the next generation Mercedes S-class, if the proposed partnership goes through.
Estimated to arrive in 2012, the large saloon would be developed and produced right next to the next-gen Maybach which also utilized the W222 platform which the next Mercedes S-class also uses.

Mercedes-Benz has just announced that its latest flagship roadster the SL63 AMG will be the Official F1 Safety Car for the 2008 season. Also announced is the Official F1 Medical Car for 2008 whose duty will be performed by the recently-unveiled C63 AMG Estate.
