Nissan Sylphy And Grand Livina Win Awards

The recently launched Nissan Sylphy was voted the “Best Handling Family Sedan” at the inaugural Asian Auto-VCA Auto Industry Awards 2008 recently in Petaling Jaya. Although I think it won “Best” more in terms of comfort and ride quality instead of performance handling whereby the Civic or Lancer could have easily won it. Whoever test drove a Sylphy can surely attest to that.

Also in the limelight at the same event, was the Nissan Grand Livina, which was named the “Best Value For Money MPV”. The Nissan Sylphy was launched in Malaysia on June 26 this year while the Grand Livina made its debut in December 2007.

The Asian Auto-VCA Auto Industry Awards 2008 was organised to recognise the best vehicles introduced in the Malaysian market over the past 12 months from June 2007. The focus was on the real value proposition of each vehicle judged. A total of 33 companies participated in the event.
