California, the soon to be launched Ferrari

Ferrari has just shown the first photos of its new 2 seater baby sports car, the California. It uses a 4.3l V8 engine that is mounted in the “mid-front” position or behind the front wheel (a first for a Ferrari).

Driving the rear wheels via a modified 7 speed transmission from the 599GTB, expect the 0-100kmh time to be less than 4 seconds.

Another unique feature is that the California comes with a folding hardtop roof. More details will be revealed once Ferrari officially unveileds it at the Paris Motor Show in September this year.
